‘Arlington Diocese WorkCamp is an intentional Christian Community that provides an experience of direct service for young people within the boundaries of the Catholic Diocese of Arlington.’
WorkCamp 2026
WorkCamp 2026 will take place from June 20-26, 2026 in Quicksburg, VA. WorkCamp is a week-long overnight camp providing the teens of the Diocese with an opportunity to encounter Christ through service, faith, and fellowship.
This service opportunity combines prayer, great speakers, daily Mass, confession, and tons of fun, making it an integrated experience of true Christian community and one of the most transformational opportunities of the year!
Youth Participants:
- All high schoolers are invited to apply for WorkCamp! Please note that you must be in high school this school year (2025-26) in order to attend WorkCamp.
- For access to the registration portal, please contact Maria Goitiandia at mgoitiandia.strita@gmail.com – for first time attendees, we would love to hear why you are interested in participating in WorkCamp when reaching out to register.
- New Registration fee policy: Please note that the deposit to register is no longer taken at the time of registration, but will be billed directly to the Parish. More information is in the registration packet.
Adult volunteers: There are many different ways that adults can participate in WorkCamp, and we need a certain number of volunteers in order to bring a group from St. Rita. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Maria Goitiandia with any questions and for access to registration.
- Adult Crew Leaders must attend the entire week of WorkCamp, and will be responsible for the teens 24 hours a day during WorkCamp. Adults must be 25 years of age or older in order to volunteer for this role, and must complete a mandatory training with the Diocese in order to attend.
- Contractors need to be at WorkCamp for a minimum of Monday-Thursday, but are welcome to attend the entire week. These are adults who are proficient in home repair skills. You do not need to be a licensed contractor to serve as a WorkCamp Contractor, but you must complete a mandatory training with the Diocese and lead a Tool Safety Training seminar for the student participants in order to attend. Contractors only need to be 18 years of age or older, but cannot be a recent graduate of the Youth Ministry Program.
- Security personnel are adults (21 years and older) who come to WorkCamp for one afternoon or evening to provide security for the youth on a date chosen by the WorkCamp coordinators.
- Other roles: homebase team, nurses, parish contact, lunch assembly crew, etc.
If you are interested in volunteering for WorkCamp, but might not be available for the entire week, there could still be a role for you! Please contact Maria Goitiandia with any questions.
Please pray for the teens and adults from St. Rita Parish who will be taking part in WorkCamp this year!
WorkCamp 2022

WorkCamp 2022 was a wonderful experience for all the teens and adults who participated. Our St. Rita group joined more than 600 teens from around the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, spending a week making homes warmer, safer, and drier. Our teens worked on various projects, including replacing windows, building decks, and repairing roofs. They also attended daily Mass, a night of Adoration and Confession, and enjoyed games and music, fostering friendships with teens from all over the Diocese.
One of our teens was also featured in a video made by the Diocese of Arlington (which you can view below).
