All parents are required to complete a Baptism class before they can participate in the Sacrament. Below is information about our English and Spanish Baptism classes.
Please contact the Parish Office (Elizabeth Vail or 703-836-1640 x. 11) to make arrangements to attend a Baptism preparation class, or to schedule a Baptism in English. Please note that it is possible for expectant parents to attend the preparation class before the birth of their child. If you took a Baptism class at another parish, in addition to the Baptism registration form below, please also include a proof of attendance letter from the previous parish where you took the class.
The Spanish Baptism classes are typically the second Wednesday of each month from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. All classes take place in the Parish Center. Please call or email the Parish Office (Alma Ramirez or 703-836-1640 x. 10) to sign up for a class, or to schedule a Baptism in Spanish.
Upcoming Dates for Spanish Baptism Classes:

- Wednesday, December 9, 2026 at 5:30 pm
- Wednesday, January 13, 2027 at 5:30 pm

- The Diocese is also now requiring a Birth Certificate or Live Birth Record as part of the registration process. This should be submitted with the registration form, if possible, or as soon as possible prior to the Baptism.

If you are attending a Spanish Baptism class, Baptism Registration forms will also be available at the class.
To be a Godparent or Sponsor you must:
- Be at least 16 years old and Confirmed in the Catholic Church
- Attend Mass every Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation (as well as regularly receive the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Communion)
- Try to lead a life in harmony with the Faith

Baptism Offering
If you would like to make an optional offering to the parish or to the celebrating priest, the suggested amount is $50.
