All parents are required to complete a Baptism class before they can participate in the Sacrament. Below is information about our English and Spanish Baptism classes.
The English Baptism classes are scheduled on an individual basis with Fr. Schierer. Please contact Fr. Schierer at fatherschierer@gmail.com to schedule a Baptism Class. In your email, please include whether or not you are a registered parishioner at St. Rita, and what times you could be available to meet (e.g. weekday/weekend, morning/afternoon/evening, etc.).
The Spanish Baptism classes are typically the second Thursday of each month from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. All classes take place in the Parish Center. Please call the Parish Office to sign up for a class.

- Thursday, May 9th, 2024 at 6:00 pm
- Thursday, June 13th, 2024 at 6:00 pm
- Thursday, July 11th, 2024 at 6:00 pm
Baptism Registration Forms:
If you are attending a Spanish Baptism class, Baptism Registration forms will also be available at the class.
To be a Godparent or Sponsor you must:
- Be at least 16 years old and Confirmed in the Catholic Chruch
- Attend Mass every Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation (as well as regularly receive the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Communion)
- Try to lead a life in harmony with the Faith
